Wii rules Japan

Although Wii’s supremacy in the new generation consoles war is clear in markets all over the world, there’s no place like home. That’s right, in its Japanese homeland Nintendo’s revolutionary gaming system continues to clearly dominate the competition.
According to the latest Enterbrain figures, the Wii managed to sell about 1.6 million units from April to September 2007, while the PS3 came second with only about 385.000 sold units. The Xbox 360 sales weren’t monitored but it’s a well known fact that Microsoft’s console isn’t very popular in the Far-East.
Although the Wii only outsold Sony’s PS3 by 2to1 when they were both released last year, Nintendo really grew wings and is now outselling its rival by more than 4to1. An impressive achievement indeed.
