Uncharted sequel announced

Even though the action-adventure game isn’t even out yet, the people at Naughty Dog have already confirmed it will be definitely be getting a sequel.

Co-president of Naughty Dog game studios, Christophe Balestra has confirmed that will start working on a sequel to Drake’s Fortune as soon as the game is released: Crash was a franchise, Jak & Daxter was a franchise and yes of course Uncharted will be a franchise. It takes a lot of effort to create a universe like Uncharted and there is so much more we want to do. It would be a waste if we didn’t have a sequel to make it even better than the first one.”

Speaking about the game on the PS3, Balestra said that Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune uses only about 30% of the system’s Core processor, so the game’s sequel will definitely look even better than the original.

Although I’m glad these guys really think ahead…I still it would have been wise to wait until the game launched to make this kind of announcement. I mean what if it’s a total disaster, will they still go ahead with the sequel?
