Turok heading to PC

Disney Interactive has announced that its remake of classic first person shooter, Turok, will also be available for the PC, soon after its release for the Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms.

For those of you that haven’t heard or haven’t had the chance to play the original Turok, it was a mediocre FPS, in which you played the role of bad-ass Joseph Turok as he wondered around a jungle-like environment, shooting human and dinosaur enemies. Didn’t really impress me back then, but judging by the screenshots I’ve seen so far, the remake may turn to actually be good.

The PC porting will be executed by Aspyre Studios and it’s scheduled to be finished in time for a Spring 2008 release, soon after it comes out on the next generation consoles. This time, Joseph Turok is a member of an elite commando fighting space pirates and dinosaurs on a mysterious planet. Not very original but hey…these days so few games are.
