Teen gets phone book instead of PS3 for Christmas

Now how would you fell if you wanted a Sony PS3 very badly and you saw the it under the Christmas tree, just waiting to be unpacked? You’d probably be thrilled, but what if there would be something else in the package?

That’s what happened to 13 year old Brandon Burns from Camarillo, California, who tore the PS3 box to bits only to find a…Thousand Oaks phone book. Now the kid says he felt more like laughing than getting mad when he saw his “awesome” present and I can understand that, he probably thought it was some kind of joke. Only it wasn’t, his parents really had got him a PS3. His mother, Nicole Burns, suspects an employee from EBGames, the store where she bought the…PS3 box, really wanted the Sony console, so he took it and replaced it with the phone book.

Fortunately, the store believed the Burns’ unusual explanation and the matter has been resolved. Sadly Young Brandon will have to wait a few more days until he can finally enjoy playing on a PS3. Hang in there Brandon!
