Study shows violent gamers feel more relaxed

In recent years video-games have been blamed by many, for inciting to violence and actually being responsible for monstrous acts, like high-school shootings. I never agreed with this and always believed it’s all about education and personality, and a re3cent study says I’m right.
A study conducted by Jane Barnett and her colleagues at Middlesex University and presented the British Psychological Society’s Annual Conference, in Dublin, says violent video-games actually feel players feel more relaxed or simply tired and feeling no urge to commit violent acts in real life.
The researchers studied 292 gamers with ages between 12-83 years, and had them playing World of Warcraft. They were then asked to complete a survey about aggression, anger and personality, before and after a 2 hour session of WoW. Results showed people felt more relaxed after playing the game. “There were actually higher levels of relaxation before and after playing the game, as opposed to experiencing anger. This did very much depend on personality type.” said Jane Barnett.
