Star Wars: The Force Unleashed coming to Wii

Fans of Star Wars will be thrilled to know Lucas Arts is launching the next game in the saga next Spring. The Force Unleashed for Nintendo’s new generation console will allow players to use their remote as a light saber and the Nunchuk to execute their Force attacks. It all sounds very intriguing, let’s just hope the developers implement the controls well enough. After all, other games have tried to use the Wii’s unique capabilities and failed miserably.
In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, players will take the role of Darth Vader’s “Secret Apprentice”, in an adventure set between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope. This period of time is very well chosen, as it is largely unexplored, giving the developers a lot of freedom. Players will start out by aiding the ruthless villain, as he travels through the galaxies, carrying out his revenge on the Jedi. Their actions throughout the game could change the course of their destiny.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will also be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gaming systems, introducing new technologies, like Digital Molecular Matter, by Pixellus Entertainment and Euphorie, by NaturalMotion Ltd.
Lucas Arts and Krone development studios are also working on versions for the PSP, PlayStation 2 and n-Space.Inc is working on a version for the DS. Seems their going all out with this one.
All versions will feature the same storyline, the Wii version will feature a unique duel mode, where players will be able to go head-to-head with their friends for the title of ultimate Jedi Master.
