Got married in Halo 3
It’s a known fact that people often meet and later get married in online multiplayer type games like world of Warcraft or Guild Wars, due to the social interaction occurring in the game, but have you ever heard of two people getting married in a FPS before? You have now.
Last weekend, Xbox Live gamer “Moviesign” invited his girlfriend “furtive penguin” to team with him in a two-on-two match on a map he had tweaked with the game’s Forge mode.
When the game started, Moviesign led furtive penguin to an area of the map where he said he’d hidden an energy sword. Upon reaching the area, furtive penguin found multiple energy swords (and a slew of the game’s other weapons), all laid out and carefully arranged to spell “Marry me?” She said yes.
The couple has not set a date yet, joking that they want to wait and see when the next Halo game comes out to avoid any conflicts.
