New Beowulf trailer

[gametrailers 25966]

After seeing this latest Beowulf trailer I’m starting to wonder if it’s competing for the title of world’s bloodiest game. Although it doesn’t show a lot of gameplay footage, you can clearly see why it already got the M for mature rating.

Still Beowulf has some stiff competition in the upcoming action-adventure Conan and the already legendary God of War. The game looks amazing and I really hope they don’t speed things up just to get it ready in time for the film launch.

Kane and Lynch looks better and better

[gametrailers 25567]

Eidos’ 3rd person shooter seems to look even more amazing with each trailer I see. This is definitely one of my most anticipated games. I’ve always been a fan of 3rd person shooters, ever since I first played Max Payne, and Kane & Lynch seems to also have really strong characters and an interesting plot.

MGS 4 storyline revealed

If you weren’t lucky enough to watch MGS producer Hideo Kojima do his live presentation at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, don’t worry, we got you covered.

The now legendary Koj, spoke a lot about his latest creation, Metal Gear Solid 4, the game’s plot, the new bosses, the supporting characters and of course, the leading man, Solid Snake. Everyone lucky enough to be present at Konami’s MGS 4 presentation area received a pretty thick 50 page booklet, featuring details about MGS 4, artwork, interviews, development issues and most importantly, new storyline clues.

Conan gameplay - not as I imagined

[gametrailers 25368]

Conan is in the top 5 of my most anticipated games of 2008. Or I guess now I should say was. Even though I really can’t tell if a game is good or not just by watching a some gameplay footage, I have to say I’m a bit disappointed. I didn’t really like the hack&slash like camera very much, but perhaps there’s going to be a zoom in function and I found it unusual for huge barbarian to be so agile and and execute moves that would make a ninja jealous.

Would GTA Online beat World of Warcraft?

As we all know World of Warcraft is doing great, I mean great is an understatement but you know what I mean. Sure there are other solid MMORPGs out there, like the Guild Wars series, or Lord of the Rings Online, that attract a lot of fans, and there are some really famous MMOs coming out soon, Warhammer Online and Conan: Hyborian Adventures are just to examples. But let’s be serious the chances these new arrivals have of dethroning WoW are as high as Bush becoming president for the third time…which is impossible.

Now to be honest, when I first heard they were making LotR Online I really thought they had a chance. A strong fanbase, a rich fantasy universe to set the game in, great production values, all the ingredients for a successful game. But allthough LotR Online is an impressive achievement, it doesn’t come close to threatening Warcraft’s rule.

Dynasty Warriors 6 are you kidding me?

No seriously, Koei is really up to it again? Dynasty Warriors 6 is in the making? That’s so cool(yawn)!!! Somebody tell these guys most of us DON’T like to play the same s..t with just a number changed at the end of the title. Cause let’s be serious, this is exactly what they’ve been doing on the PS2 ever since the first one came out, trying to capitalize on the same product with a slight change in wrapping.

Two Worlds - True Oblivion contender?

Boy some games choose to set their hopes high! There are some games out there that are so good that the thought of someone creating something better doesn’t come to mind very often, games Like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, a game praised by every games site on the internet for almost every aspect. But the Germans at Reality Pump (Earth 2140) seem to like this sort of challenges, let’s see if they can compete.

Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare

Picture of Call od Duty 4

Call of Duty is definitely one of the most successful game series in the industry. Ever since the first game they’ve managed to keep improving their work to keep gamers satisfied. They succeeded wonderfully even if all previous titles were related to events in World War 2, and that is no small feat if we consider the number of games set in that period of time. But now after 3 successful titles, the Call of Duty franchise moves on to bigger and better things.
