40 Gb. PlayStation 3 finally official

Sony has announced it will start selling a new model of the PS 3 video game console, one with a smaller, 40 Gigabyte hard drive and with only two USB slots. This new PS 3 version won’t feature the PS 2 backward compatibility, which really sucks if you ask me. The official reason for this was that the PlayStation 3 now has a vast enough selection of available games.

The 40 Gb. PlayStation 3 will be available on October 10 for the European market, at a price of €399 and will also be launched in the Middle East, Africa and Australia.

Sony Entertainment America has refused to comment on when it will launch a 40 Gb. PlayStation 3 in North America.
